Looking Back (and Dreaming Forward) ✨

Well… what a year it’s been! 🎉
I always love December because it feels like the perfect time to slow down (a little), take stock, and look back at everything that’s happened — and wow, 2025 has been a colourful whirlwind.
This year has felt like a real turning point for me and for Katsillustration.
A year of colour, chaos and big steps
2025 was the year I finally took the leap into wholesaling — something that felt huge and a little scary at first, but turned out to be one of the most rewarding parts of my creative journey so far. Seeing my products pop up in beautiful independent shops across the UK has been such a pinch-me moment! 🥹💖
I also spent time visiting galleries, exhibitions and creative markets, soaking up inspiration and connecting with other artists and makers. Every trip left me buzzing with new ideas.
And of course, I launched new collections — from colourful stationery to bold art prints and illustrated wraps — each one a little reflection of my love for pattern, humour, and everyday joy. Watching you all share my designs in your homes, studios, and gifts has honestly been the highlight of my year.
What’s next for 2026
If 2025 was about building, 2026 is about expanding — creatively and with purpose.
💖 Partnering with a charity: One of my biggest goals for the new year is to collaborate with a cause close to my heart. I want Katsillustration to spread joy and make a difference — using art to give back and brighten lives in a more tangible way.
😂 Making more funny cards: I’ve realised how much I love writing and illustrating cards that make people laugh — those slightly cheeky, personality-filled designs that bring real joy to everyday moments. Expect plenty more of those next year!
🎨 Making more art, always: At the heart of it all — drawing, painting, and creating are still my happy place. I want 2026 to be full of new sketchbooks, experimental ideas, and unapologetically colourful projects.
So as I wrap up the year (literally — with my own gift wrap, of course 🎁), I just want to say thank you. Thank you for every order, every share, every kind word, and for being part of this colourful community.
Here’s to another year of creativity, chaos, and chasing big, beautiful dreams. ✨
With love and a whole lot of colour,
Kat x
